Outdoor lighting fixtures in the ZERO Series are specifically designed to withstand the full range of environmental stresses experienced in exterior installations—sunlight, temperature fluctuations, humidity, and rain.
These conditions can cause a variety of material challenges, including discoloration and chalking from UV exposure, expansion and contraction due to thermal changes, surface degradation from rain, and hydrolysis or oxidation caused by condensation and temperature differentials.
To ensure long-lasting elegance in both form and finish, the ZERO Series employs advanced coating technologies and carefully selected materials with a strong emphasis on part-level quality and durability.
Weather resistance testing is conducted using xenon arc testing equipment, in accordance with internationally recognized standards. These devices replicate sunlight at three times its natural intensity to perform accelerated aging tests.

In architectural spaces, textured exterior wall materials and high-quality, beautiful interiors are important elements that provide a luxurious experience to visitors. In pursuit of soft light that blends into the architecture and matches the designer's particular space, Daiko Electric has reexamined glass manufacturing techniques that have been cultivated as artisanal skills since ancient times. Beautiful glass globes made by blow molding, such as high-precision square glass and thin round shapes that can only be produced by skilled craftsmen, are fused with thin aluminum die-casting and the latest LED light sources to create beautiful lighting fixtures that emit a luxurious and gentle light. We deliver a genuine texture that cannot be expressed with resin materials to particular architectural spaces.

In addition to "performance as a light source after dusk," we believe that the most important element of outdoor lighting fixtures is "blend into the architectural design during the day." Outdoor lighting fixtures are installed in carefully designed exterior spaces and are seen by many people, so Daiko Electric has focused on designing fixtures with simple and beautiful forms. In order to realize the beauty of the product, the die-casting molds are divided into multiple parts, and the linear precision and smooth surface precision of the product finish are improved. In addition, while ensuring sufficient waterproof performance, attention has been paid to even the smallest details, such as minimizing the joint width and removing surface screws in the joints of different materials such as metal, resin, and glass. The next generation of outdoor lighting fixtures, manufactured with the beautiful design and precision of designer fixtures, blend into all exterior designs and lose their presence.

With the spread of LED light sources, the development of new light source technology has become an important theme for next-generation outdoor lighting. Daiko Electric has been working on the development of LED light source modules exclusively for outdoor use, including "technology to protect the electronic component LED module from humidity and outdoor temperature," "technology to spread directional LED light as diffused light," and "providing stylish next-generation forms with compact light sources. " In the ZERO series, we have developed many light source modules, including "dome-shaped light source module that realizes the spread of incandescent light at low brightness," "waterproof flat lens module with wide-angle and narrow-angle light distribution," and "light guide plate lens that realizes optimal light distribution with a wide spread." The newly developed outdoor LED light source module radiates a wide area with gentle brightness, proposing new possibilities for landscape design and exterior lighting design.

In exterior lighting plans, ground lights buried underground and universal downlights installed on the eaves must be able to illuminate large walls evenly and specific areas such as pillars and signs accurately. The ZERO series offers a wide range of optional glass lenses to freely control the direction and shape of light. The lens performance of lighting fixtures installed outdoors must be compatible with highly accurate light distribution characteristics and heat resistance and durability. The optional glass lenses of the ZERO series utilize various optical glass lens manufacturing technologies such as direct pressing, and will help designers realize the delicate and beautiful lighting plans they desire.

For outdoor lighting fixtures, it is important to "prevent condensation and ensure waterproof performance," "stable lighting in environments with voltage drops and voltage fluctuations due to power transmission distance," and "development of a small power source that can be built into the fixture." Daiko Electric has focused on developing power supply units that achieve flicker-free lighting even under unstable conditions, miniaturizing power supplies that are optimal for LED outdoor fixtures, and responding to changes in outdoor temperature and humidity for many years. All power supply units used in the outdoor lighting ZERO series are filled with resin, achieving complete waterproof performance for the power supply alone and heat dissipation performance when built into the fixture. In order to ensure stable lighting for facility outdoor lighting fixtures that will be installed for a long time until the fixture's lifespan, we will provide waterproof power supply units using cutting-edge power supply development technology.

To maintain waterproof performance, it is important to have a mechanical waterproof design and measures against condensation caused by temperature changes. In addition, human factors associated with installation must also be taken into consideration when designing lighting fixtures. Daiko Electric has developed products that incorporate many technologies to ensure waterproof performance. Ground lights (underground recessed lighting) use a special silicone packing that distributes the tightening torque of the fixing screws on the surface cover to the surface load. Glass bracket fixtures have glass caulked to an aluminum subframe, and a structure is adopted in which waterproof performance is not affected by installation methods or site conditions. In addition, parts such as the ``light source unit,'' ``power supply unit,'' and ``fixture frame'' are individually waterproofed to maintain stable waterproof performance in any installation environment.

The finish and paint specifications for the outdoor lighting ZERO series are based on the quality of architectural exterior materials (sashes, etc.), and beautiful stainless steel colors are used as the standard color. The fixtures are finished to a high standard, blending into various architectural materials, losing their presence as lighting fixtures during the day, and attractively illuminating architectural designs after dusk. In order to maintain the delicate color tone during the painting process, all products are finished in the same dedicated painting booth.
