Quality Initiatives (Quality Assurance Department)

In addition to public regulations, we carry out rigorous checks based on our own unique standards.
Through inspections from the customer's perspective, we create quality that meets the customer's trust.

The Quality Assurance Department is responsible for various tests, quality control, and customer inquiries in order to provide customers with products that are safe and of stable quality. In order to provide maximum satisfaction and peace of mind, we have established our own quality standards in addition to public specifications and standards, and strictly check our products.

Quality Assurance Department

We check and confirm design specifications to ensure they meet legal and internal company standards, conduct various tests to ensure product safety and reliability, improve products, inspect products, and provide guidance on managing quality data.

To be on the safe side, we conduct full inspections rather than random inspections.
Checking the waterproof and airtightness of outdoor lighting.
The noise generated by electronic components such as power supplies is precisely measured using specialized equipment.

DAIKO has obtained ISO certification for the development, production, and management departments. We have established a quality management system by defining our quality policy and quality targets, and are committed to documenting, implementing, maintaining, and continually improving it.

Basic environmental policy

As a manufacturer specializing in lighting, Daiko Electric Co., Ltd. aims to contribute to protecting the global environment through the production and provision of lighting fixtures that take into consideration the "light" and "environment" of commercial and residential spaces.

Environmental action policy

1 Promotion of environmental protection activities: We will strive to continually improve our environmental management system in order to enhance our environmental performance and promote environmental protection activities.
2 Reduction of environmental impact and prevention of pollution: We strive to prevent environmental pollution in our business activities and promote energy conservation, resource conservation, recycling, and waste reduction.
3 Compliance with laws and regulations: We will comply with relevant environmental laws and regulations, industry norms and other requirements to which we agree, as well as voluntary standards established by our company in response to customer requests, etc.
4 Implementation of environmental policy: In order to achieve our environmental policy, we set environmental goals and periodically review them while striving to continually improve the environmental impact caused by our activities. We will actively promote the following:
1. We will promote the efficient use of energy and resources used in production activities.
2. We will promote the reduction of waste emissions and proper disposal.
3. We will reduce harmful substances such as lead, hexavalent chromium, and cadmium.
4. We will engage in green procurement.
5 Publicizing Environmental Policy: This environmental policy will be documented and communicated to all employees, and will also be presented to major partner companies to ask for their understanding and cooperation in environmental improvement. Technical Research Institute:
the base for product development

We will strengthen collaboration between the Product Development Department and the Quality Assurance Department, and between the Product Department and the Custom Manufacturing Department, and will pursue further quality improvements by introducing new testing equipment.

We bring together our previously dispersed research functions and use our advanced technical capabilities to materialize ideas and create ideal light and shapes.

Product Development Department	A group of experts who bring ideas to life We collect information on market trends and the latest technology, and handle everything from new product planning, design, and engineering (design, reflectors, lighting optical lenses, heat dissipation design, and power supplies) to catalog production, as well as general product development with the aim of introducing new functions and technologies into our products.
Quality Assurance Department	We carry out rigorous checks based on our own unique standards. Through inspections from the customer's perspective, we create quality that meets the customer's trust. The Quality Assurance Department is responsible for various tests, quality control, and customer inquiries in order to provide customers with products that are safe and of stable quality. In order to provide maximum satisfaction and peace of mind, we have established our own quality standards in addition to public specifications and standards, and strictly check our products.
Merchandise department	Pursuing "JUST IN TIME" DAIKO has established various "distribution systems" nationwide to deliver over 7,100 standard catalog fixtures and custom-made lighting fixtures to customers. We strive every day to pursue "just-in-time product supply," not only through inventory management at the parts level, but also through optimization of production volume and inventory by specialized staff who are familiar with the products, and improvements to our picking system (a system for selecting products from inventory) specialized for lighting distribution.
Custom Made Department	"Custom-made DAIKO" aims to provide custom-made lighting fixtures that satisfy our customers In order to meet customer demands that cannot be met with ready-made products for commercial facilities, public facilities, and homes, our professionals in special-purpose lighting and custom-made technical lighting utilize a variety of materials and processing methods to provide products that will satisfy you from proposal to delivery.

All manufacturing is completed in-house.

With our advanced technical capabilities, we turn ideas into reality and create the ideal light and shape.

Bringing together all the know-how and information needed to create lighting fixtures.

The collected information is shared with specialized technical departments, such as LED light source development, optical lens development, power supply development, various parts factories, and assembly factories, to build a system that instantly reflects customer feedback in products. At Daiko Electric, we use the experience and know-how of our specialized engineers to materialize our customers' lighting needs and new ideas, and we are devoting ourselves to developing new products that meet the needs of the field.

TECHNOLOGY 01 <LED light source>: The evolution of LED light sources goes beyond stability to the pursuit of excitement

Our LED light source development efforts range from "technology to stabilize color" to "providing LED light sources that illuminate comfort and excitement." We have been in technical partnership with global LED manufacturers for many years, and are conducting cutting-edge joint development in all areas, including "higher brightness, phosphor blending, and stable lighting through lower temperatures." We will continue to advance research and development of LED light sources in order to provide many customers with "light sources that illuminate the greatest emotions and comfort."

We use LED elements that are only available in a select range of colors, aiming to completely eliminate color variation.

The manufacturing process for COB modules, which are highly integrated with multiple LED elements, is carried out through repeated rigorous inspections to ensure product stability.

TECHNOLOGY 02 <Reflector>: Manipulating light with ideal reflector control

Applying the design know-how of reflector optical control that has been cultivated for many years with conventional light sources, we conduct various technological research required for lighting fixtures, such as "reflector curve", "dimple shape and pitch", "vapor deposition finish", and "reduction of scratches on mirror surface" according to the light emission size, brightness, and irradiation purpose of the LED light source. DAIKO lighting fixtures continue to illuminate the space that the designer has carefully selected with "ideal light with reduced glare".

TECHNOLOGY 03 <Optical lenses for lighting>: To extract high-quality light efficiently

The aim of lighting optical lens technology has been to condense the light control realized by complex multiple lenses into a dedicated small resin lens. In order to obtain high-quality light that cannot be expressed in numbers, such as "soft flare" and "brightness", Daiko Electric has packed a lot of optical know-how into a small lens module. The dedicated optical lens, which is installed in an optimal shape in all fixtures, is an important module that emits high-quality light.

TECHNOLOGY 04 <Heat dissipation design>: Heat dissipation technology to make products smaller and lighter

In order to realize the lighting fixtures we provide as "small and lightweight" and "ensuring a long life in harsh installation environments," we set the most stringent temperature environment test conditions and worked on research into heat dissipation technology, resulting in a heat sink shape that has beautiful functional beauty. In order to realize the ideal heat dissipation design, we will continue to utilize advanced aluminum casting technology to aim for even smaller and lighter products.

TECHNOLOGY 05 <Power supply>: Pursuing stable lighting

We are developing power supplies that will allow all fixtures to "maintain stable lighting" in all power supply environments, taking advantage of our accumulated analog power supply design technology and our track record in the special environments of small-capacity residential power supply environments and railroad car and ship lighting. We believe that it is our responsibility as a lighting manufacturer to provide comfortable lighting spaces without flickering, and we will continue to pursue the next generation of lighting power supplies.

Pursuing "JUST IN TIME" delivery

Central Product Center: To ensure smooth loading and unloading, we have provided space for approximately 20 trucks and are equipped with truck levelers. In addition, we are adjacent to the Higashi-Osaka Truck Terminal, making logistics access easy.

We carry out thorough management, including using barcode scanning to check for missed shipments.

The entire building is equipped with LED lighting to save energy, and the roof is equipped with solar panels to reduce the burden on the environment.

The Product Management Department manages the manufacturing and shipping of standard catalog products and custom-made lighting fixtures.
In addition to manufacturing management, we have independently constructed a "management system" and a "logistics system" to optimize manufacturing and delivery.
By optimizing inventory and production volume and building a "picking system specialized for lighting distribution (a system that selects and sorts products from storage)," we are able to ship products on the sameday.

Waste-free from PP bands and stretch films

The Central Product Center manages the incoming and outgoing shipments of approximately 1,200,000 products. Among these, the "PP bands" used to pack the boxes of lighting fixtures and the "stretch film" used to secure the boxes on pallets are considered industrial waste, so we have partnered with a company that has a recycling factory to build a recycling system. By using this system to reduce waste to "0", we are able to deliver in an environmentally friendly manner.
